SCHP: 1 Texas man dead, 1 hospitalized following Darlington County crash after hitting disabled vehicle, several trees
DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A tractor-trailer driver has died and another person has been hospitalized following a crash in Darlington County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The tractor-trailer driver was identified as Asim Balcinovic, 53, of Summerset, Texas, according to the Darlington County Coroner. It happened at about 6:20 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 20 eastbound near mile marker 133, SCHP said. A 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer was traveling east on I-20 when it ran off the right side of the road, side-swiped a disabled 2012 Honda sedan and hit several trees, according to the SCHP.

HENDERSON (KTNV) — A 39-year-old man is dead after a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 11 South, north of Horizon Drive in Henderson, according to Nevada State Police. Nevada State Police responded to the collision on Jan. 8, at approximately 4:48 a.m. A preliminary investigation found that the driver of a silver Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on the interstate when, “for reasons unknown,” state police say the car veered left and into the median.

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A child died when the car they were riding was rear-ended on the interstate. Arkansas State Police reported the crash happened at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, on Interstate 40 at the 284-mile marker in Crittenden County. Alexandria Burks, 24, of West Memphis was eastbound when her Lincoln MKZ ran out of fuel and stalled in the right lane of traffic. According to the crash report, a 2016 Chevy Cruze struck the Lincoln’s rear, injuring Burks and three of her passengers, including 32-year-old Lemeisia Warren of West Memphis and two children.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — Human remains were found inside a vehicle in a ravine just off Lock 17 Road Wednesday afternoon, according to the Bessemer Police Department. Police said a contractor who was installing utility poles discovered the vehicle at the bottom of the ravine. Police said the vehicle was found to be related to a missing person case filed with the Bessemer Police Department in September 2022. The Jefferson County Coroner has identified the man as 39-year-old Ricardo Carlos Jefferson, of Bessemer

On Thanksgiving (Nov 24) an 8-car pileup occurred on the San Francisco to Oakland Bay Bridge. Springer, OK — January 9, 2023, 31-year-old Ragina Rudder was seriously injured in a collision with a parked tractor-trailer on Interstate 35 in Carter County. Authorities say the incident happened Monday along I-35 at exit 40. Preliminary investigation suggests Rudder was taking the exit from the freeway when she allegedly swerved to avoid some potholes. Her vehicle then crashed into an 18-wheeler parked on the right shoulder of the exit ramp.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – One person is in critical condition after a crash involving five vehicles on the Eastex Freeway on Monday evening. It happened at about 8 p.m. on I-69 Eastex Freeway northbound at Beltway 8 North. According to Sgt. David Rose with HPD’s Vehicular Crimes, a driver in a blue sedan lost control and crashed into a barricade at the entrance ramp to the Beltway. That person is in critical condition.

Preliminary information released by authorities said the incident happened off the corner of FM 2020 and Torrance Avenue at around 1:15 a.m. They said that 22-year-old Javier Rodriguez Jr. was in a Dodge Ram 1500 traveling westbound along FM 2020. Ahead, a Nissan Altima was disabled in the lane of travel.

The Kern County Fire Department said on January 10, 2023 at around 1:55 a.m., firefighters from Lost Hills and McKittrick were called to a possible crash or a vehicle stuck in the mud on Highway 33, north of Brown Material Road. This is the near the area where crews helped several people after their cars were stuck in flooding less than nine hours prior on January 9 along Highway 33 and Brown Material Road.

CHESHIRE — Part of Interstate 84 eastbound is closed after a car slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer, the state’s transportation agency says. State police say the injuries are minor. The crash happened shortly before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Department of Transportation. The highway was closed between exits 26 and 27, and by 7 a.m., traffic was backed up more than 4 miles. The lanes for eastbound traffic became a sea of red brake lights.
