Serious injuries reported after multi-vehicle crash in Vinita Park
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The North County Police Cooperative is investigating a serious accident involving three vehicles. The crash occurred near the intersection of N. Hanley Road and Madison Avenue in Vinita Park. Witnesses tell FOX 2 it appears one driver stopped on Hanley to help with a vehicle that broke down. A third vehicle then struck those two cars, according to a witness. Police have not confirmed the details of the crash but report three vehicles were involved and two people suffered serious injuries.

A woman was seriously injured after her stalled car was struck by another vehicle on Interstate 94 near Gurnee Sunday afternoon. Illinois State Police said that District 15 troopers received a report of a broken-down black Chevrolet sedan on Interstate 94 near milepost 11.25 in Gurnee, which is near Six Flags Great America, around 4:10 p.m. Sunday. As troopers were responding to the call, dispatchers received multiple 911 calls that a white Subaru SUV had struck the stalled Chevrolet, which was stopped in one of the westbound lanes.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A driver was killed following an early morning crash on the Florida Turnpike in Southwest Miami-Dade that took an even more violent turn. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim was traveling south near Quail Roost Drive when he lost control of his gray Mercedes-Benz, slammed into a concrete barrier wall and came to rest blocking the highway, at around 4 a.m., Saturday. Investigators said the driver got out of the car and was walking on the roadway when he was struck by a tractor-trailer.

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Two people are dead following a crash on Interstate 55 at the 119-mile marker. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Shayleigh Smith of Jackson and a 16-year-old juvenile from Hayti were killed. Their vehicle, a 2003 Mazda 6, was disabled from a crash that was blocking both lanes on the bridge over Apple Creek. It was then their vehicle was hit by a 2013 Ford F150 driven by Edward Lee of Memphis.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) — An Atlantic City woman is dead after authorities say she was hit while helping someone else on the side of the road. The Atlantic City Police Department says the incident happened around 9:48 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. Route 30 near mile marker 55. According to investigators, 57-year-old Teresa Callaway stopped to help a woman who crashed her Jeep in the left lane. Callaway was one of multiple vehicles that stopped to help.

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WKRG) The driver of an 18-wheeler was critically injured when he was hit by an SUV as he attempted to get out of his truck on Highway 189 near Pecan Lane. The 39-year-old driver, who has not been identified, fell onto the roadway as he was exiting his truck shortly after midnight. He was struck by a Toyota Rav4 driven by a 30-year-old woman from Gulfport. The driver of the semi-truck is from Clewiston, Fla.
