Semi fatally hits fellow PA trucker waiting for roadside service in LaGrange County
LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A semi-truck driver died in an overnight crash on the I-80/90 Toll Road near Shipshewana Sunday morning. Shamshitdin Nuridinov, 45, of Morrisville, PA was hit by another semi that veered off the road and hit his truck. Indiana State Police got to the scene at the toll road’s westbound 114 mile-marker and found two semis. One was parked on the shoulder with cautionary triangles, and another had crashed in the nearby ditch.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – All eastbound lanes of I-4 at exit 72 in Orange County were shut down Saturday morning as crews responded to a fatal crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Around 3:20 a.m., a 24-year-old Kissimmee woman and her passenger were traveling west when the driver lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and struck the inside guardrail, the outside guardrail and finally the inside wall, causing the vehicle to overturn and eject both occupants into eastbound travel lanes, troopers said.

HAWKINS COUNTY — A 1986 Ford Dump Truck wrecked into a disabled 2000 VW Passat that was sitting on the shoulder of Highway 11w near Hammond Ave. According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol on Feb. 17, the dump truck traveled off the right side of the road and hit the small silver car. The dump truck continued uncontrollably up an embankment and overturned. No one was in the car, but the driver of the dump truck was transported to a local hospital.

NISSWA — Strong wind gusts ripping across Gull Lake’s Hole-in-the-Day Bay brought whiteout conditions to Highway 371, causing a multi-car crash just before noon on Friday and shutting down both lanes of the highway for most of the day. The Nisswa Fire Department responded to the crash, reported at 11:53 a.m. north of Brainerd. According to Nisswa Fire Chief, Shawn Bailey, there were 23 vehicles involved in the crash, including three semitrailers.

A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle on the Queen Elizabeth Way in Hamilton Thursday evening. Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said it happened on the highway near Centennial Parkway just before 7 p.m. Schmidt said there was a minor collision and one of the drivers involved, a 24-year-old woman from Stoney Creek, exited her car to speak to the other driver. He said a third vehicle then came from behind and swerved to avoid the crash scene, fatally striking the woman that was out on the highway.

02.17.2022 | 2:03 AM | CAMARILLO – CHP Ventura officers responded to a report from a semi truck driver who was rear-ended on the shoulder of the northbound 101 Freeway just north of Camarillo Springs Rd. When officers arrived on scene, the found a red Dodge Avenger halfway under the trailer of the semi with heavy intrusion into the cabin. The vehicle was found to be unoccupied and no driver was located at the scene.

Preliminary investigation suggests Walker was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck east on the roadway when he approached a disabled Freightliner semi-tuck with no trailer that was stopped in the road’s left lane.

On Wednesday, a blue 2019 Kia Optima belonging to Lorene Virginia Collier, 84, was found in the woods of off Scrougeout Drive in the Black Creek community . According to Capt. Josh Morgan of the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, the car was discovered after a hunter was walking through the area and saw the vehicle.
