Edmon Howard Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Accident on US-259 in Rusk County, TX
Rusk County, TX – December 25, 2021, 43-year-old Edmon Howard was struck and killed by a vehicle while standing near a disabled pickup truck on U.S. Highway 259 in Rusk County. Authorities say the incident happened around 6:35 p.m. along US-259, roughly five miles south of Henderson. Preliminary investigation suggests Howard was standing on or near the fog line of the roadway beside a broken-down truck. As he stood near the road a Ford F-150 driven by 21-year-old Alex Coursey approached from the south and struck him.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A person is hurt after police say they were hit by a car in Chesterfield Saturday night. Chesterfield Police say the driver of a 1999 Honda Civic was traveling Eastbound in the 7100 block of Midlothian Turnpike about 8:30 Saturday night when he struck two vehicles. The driver then got out of his car and ran across Midlothian Turnpike, where he was hit by a car traveling westbound.

On Sunday the Utah highway patrol received a call around 7 am that a camper was in the middle of the road with fallen debris everywhere. The driver decided to get out of the truck to secure the fallen debris and didn’t see the semi-truck heading in his direction.

A 6-year-old boy died following a five-vehicle crash in Roxbury on Thursday night involving a hit-and-run driver who is now being sought, the New Jersey State Police said. Authorities said a preliminary investigation revealed that at about 7:45 p.m. on Thursday a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox heading east on Interstate 80 was struck near milepost 28.5 by “an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.” The Chevrolet Equinox was then struck by a Honda HRV, which was hit by a Nissan Altima leading to the Chevrolet Equinox hitting a Honda Passport, which held the 6-year-old, police said in a statement.

A 21-year-old man from Grande Prairie was fatally struck on Wednesday after speaking to the driver of a semi that had collided with his vehicle. RCMP released more details about the collision on Friday after the next of kin notification was completed. According to police, the man’s car and a semi were northwest bound on Highway 43 before 9 a.m. when the car lost control and struck the semi-tractor. After the collision, officers say the car pulled off to the highway’s left shoulder, and the semi-tractor pulled to the right.

Alexandria, MN – December 20, 2021, 23-year-olds Jacob Carlson and Alexander Sagendorf were injured by a semi-truck on the shoulder on Interstate 94 near Alexandria. Authorities say the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on westbound I-94. Preliminary investigation suggests Carlson and Sagendorf stopped their pickup truck on the westbound shoulder to change a tire on a trailer they were towing. As the two worked to change the driver’s-side tire, they were reportedly struck by a passing Peterbilt semi-truck.

CEDAR CITY — A man in his 80s was found dead alongside a road in the town of Beryl in western Iron County on Wednesday morning, after apparently crashing his vehicle the night before. Iron County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Humphries told Cedar City News that dispatchers were notified about the crash by the man’s son at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday. The son, who lives out of state, had called dispatchers and told them his father had called him and told him he’d crashed along state Route 56, Humphries said.

A tow truck operator was fixing some equipment on the shoulder of a highway. A semi-truck that was unable to move over due to traffic on his left, made contact with the flatbed and the operator. UHP warns drivers that if they are traveling and see a vehicle on the shoulder, make sure you give them space and move over.

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A person was discovered dead in a vehicle that was found in a ditch off the Bangerter Highway in West Valley. “The vehicle went off the road down into a ditch and it appears like it has been there for a while, we don’t know how long,” Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Cameron Roden said. Roden said there was water in the ditch, but the vehicle was not submerged.
