Two-vehicle crash turns deadly on I-94 near New Buffalo
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – A two-vehicle crash killed one person, critically injured another person and injured several others on I-94, near New Buffalo on Thursday around 7:15 p.m., according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office. When deputies and crews arrived, they found a woman unresponsive, lying in the roadway and a man pinned to the ground underneath his vehicle. According to preliminary crash results, police determined that a Ford Escape with three passengers was traveling east on I-94 when the driver lost control of the vehicle on the roadway, ran off the road and hit a guardrail.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Two people were killed when a tractor-trailer carrying mail on Interstate 85 crashed into a car stuck in the middle of the roadway, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol. The patrol said a car crashed just after 2 a.m. Wednesday and stopped in one of the middle lanes of I-85 south near Billy Graham Parkway in Charlotte, news outlets reported. Around 2:15 a.m., a tractor-trailer crashed into the stopped vehicle on the interstate.

BELMOUNT, Calif. (KRON) – The California Highway Patrol is reporting that multiple vehicles were involved in an accident on Highway 101 in the early hours of the morning. The incident occurred at around 3:00 a.m. on November 25 just north of Ralston Avenue in Belmont. Police believe that a green Honda may have been involved in a separate hit and run collision prior to this, which resulted in the green Honda coming to rest in the left lanes of US-101 without lights on facing a southerly direction.

WSP Trooper David Munoz said the crash occurred about 6:18 a.m. when a pickup truck lost control on the icy overpass headed eastbound on I-82 and crashed into the barrier, causing drivers behind the vehicle to rear-end each other. “Some people were trying to get out of the way or stop in the lane, not knowing what’s up ahead,” Munoz said.

The LaSalle County Coroner’s Office says the two who died were an eight-year-old boy and a twelve-year-old girl, both of Peru. Illinois State Police District 17 says a vehicle with seven passengers hit an abandoned straight truck on the highway shoulder. Police say in addition to the two juveniles who were killed, two adults and three more children were taken to an area hospital in serious to life-threatening condition.

Authorities say on Sunday around 3:18 a.m. the victim was stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 95 just north of SW Martin Highway in a Red Kia Sorento. According to FHP, the victim says he exited his car to check on a possible mechanical issue, that’s when he was struck by a gray or silver SUV driven by a white female.
