One man killed in four-vehicle crash on I-80 in San Pablo
All lanes re-opened after crash closed interstate at San Pablo Dam Road for about three hours One man died Sunday morning in a crash that shut down Interstate 80 in San Pablo. The crash happened about 6:15 a.m. when a white van going east on I-80 near the San Pablo Dam Road exit lost control and hit the center divide wall, according to the California Highway Patrol. Three other vehicles then hit the van.

ISLAND PARK, Idaho (KLIX)-Authorities say there were no serious injuries in a 40 car pile-up Friday afternoon near Island Park in East Idaho. According to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, at around 3 p.m. U.S. Highway 20 north of Island Park had to be shut down because of blowing snow that reduced visibility. The sheriff’s office said multiple law enforcement and first responders from Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana assisted with the crash.

Provincial police in Chatham-Kent say a 51-year-old truck driver from Brampton, Ont., is facing a careless driving charge in connection with a collision Wednesday on Highway 401 involving two tractor-trailers. The collision occurred around 8:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway near the 66 kilometre marker in Raleigh Township when a stationary tractor-trailer on the shoulder was struck by another tractor-trailer, police said. The driver of the second tractor-trailer was later charged with several offences under the Highway Traffic Act, including careless driving and failure to maintain a daily log, police said.

BELLE GLADE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 65-year-old man was killed when another driver didn’t see him getting out of his disabled pickup truck. The Florida Highway Patrol reports the victim, from Pahokee, had crashed his pickup truck on SR 80 and Custard Apple Blvd. in Belle Glade. That happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday. When he was getting out of his pickup truck, authorities say the driver of a car didn’t notice him on the roadway.

According to Indiana State Police, state troopers received a call around 9:47 a.m. of a disabled car that was partially in the left lane of Interstate 65 near mile marker 86. While en route, dispatchers began receiving numerous calls that a serious crash had just occurred at the same location.

Preliminary investigation suggests the semi-truck and its trailer were jackknifed in the roadway, blocking both lanes, when the victim’s westbound vehicle crashed into them. The car’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

WBRC reports Morgan Lightner, 25, was involved in a multi-vehicle crash just before 3 a.m. that caused her vehicle to flip over. She was able to get out of her car and began flagging oncoming traffic to slow down. Officials say she was hit by two vehicles that both left the scene as she attempted to warn other drivers of the accident.
