DC man killed during hit-and-run crash involving multiple cars early Saturday
D.C. police are investigating a hit-and-run crash from early Saturday morning that left a man dead. Anthony Shaw, 48, of southeast D.C. was killed when a Chevrolet Malibu hit his Hyundai Accent after he was involved in a crash himself on Southern Ave. The accident happened on the border of the District and Capitol Heights, Maryland. Shaw hit a parked car at about 2:41 a.m. near the intersection with 51st St.

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — A West Memphis Firefighter has died in the line of duty after being hit by an 18-wheeler while helping during a traffic accident along the interstate. The West Memphis Fire Department said early Saturday morning, 20-year-old Jason Lang was headed to an EMT clinical training class in Pine Bluff when he stopped to help during a crash along the interstate. They said while helping, he was hit by an 18-wheeler passing by and killed.

The Marion County coroner identified the victim as Bridges. ORIGINAL POST: Police are asking for the public’s help to find a Georgia man who disappeared after he left his job. Family members say they haven’t heard from JaMarcus Bridges, 23, since Saturday morning.

LITCHFIELD, Maine — State police on Friday identified a man killed in a Thursday night crash in Litchfield as Brandon Currie, 35, of Newport. Currie was traveling north on Interstate 295 in a blue GMC pickup truck just before 7 p.m. when the truck he was driving struck an RV motorhome from behind while attempting to pass, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said in a news release.

Hill County, TX – May 31, 2021, a Covington man was injured due to an accident where his vehicle crashed with an 18-wheeler along I-35. Preliminary reports said that the crash took place just before 11:00 p.m. along I-35 near mile marker 360. In their reports, officials said that a 49-year-old Covington man was in a Pontiac traveling southbound on the interstate. The vehicle lost control on wet roads crashed into the barrier, and became disabled along southbound lanes.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened a little after 1 pm on southbound Highway 61, just south of Sugar Loaf View. The State Patrol says a semi driven by Quinton Levair Stephens, 56 of Austell, Georgia, was parked on the shoulder of the highway when it was hit by a 2004 Saturn Vue driven by a Kendra Leigh Atherton-Guenther, 29 of Winona.

LOS BANOS, Calif. (KFSN) – A 23-year-old driver died in a crash with a semi-truck near Los Banos on Thursday morning. It happened around 6:30 am along Interstate 5 near Highway 152. The California Highway Patrol says the driver was passing cars on the interstate when they lost control and hit a semi-truck parked on the shoulder. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name has not been released.

A 15-year-old girl lost her life following a crash in the Hudson Valley. Two others were injured. On Monday, Feb. 21, New York State Police from Troop K responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash on Interstate 684 in the town of Harrison. Troop K covers Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam and Columbia counties. At approximately 1:24 a.m., troopers were dispatched to mile marker 1.4 northbound on Interstate 684. Police were told a vehicle struck the median guide rail and was later struck by a second vehicle.

INDUSTRY (CNS) - A Huntington Park man was fatally struck by a vehicle early today when he got out of his SUV that had crashed into the center divider of the Pomona (60) Freeway near Industry. Officers were sent to the westbound 60 Freeway east of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway about 2:20 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities withheld the name of the 56-year-old man, who died at the scene, pending notification of his relatives.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - Two semi-truck drivers suffered serious injuries in a Cumberland County crash, state police said. Troopers reported the crash occurred at about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday as a Kenworth semi-truck was moving eastbound on Interstate 70 near mile post 109. For unknown reasons, they said the driver of the Kenworth left the road to the right, over-corrected and overturned in the road, blocking both eastbound lanes. A Freightliner semi-truck was moving eastbound in the same location and hit the Kenworth in the roadway.
