NW Kansas man dies after car rear-ends stopped semi on I-70
ELLSWORTH COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just before 2p.m. Tuesday in Ellsworth County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1986 Mercury Cougar driven by Scott J. Compitello, 46, Hill City, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of Sylvan Grove. The car rear-ended the trailer of a 2018 Peterbilt semi driven by Stephan Ray Fulk Sr., 48, Hamton, Arkansas, who was stopped on the shoulder of the interstate.

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - A man who ran off the road was rescued early Tuesday morning after another vehicle passing by saw the stranded car stuck in the trees. The vehicle was found upside down in the woods on I-10 near mile marker 28 around 4am Tuesday. A passerby saw the car and alerted authorities after finding the driver still trapped inside the vehicle. Harrison County Fire Rescue, along with CRTC and Mississippi Highway Patrol, worked together to get the man out of the car.

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. — A woman who police have been searching for nearly a day has been found alive off of Interstate 65 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Nora Thompson was driving when she went off of the road on Monday. Shepherdsville Police Chief Rick McCubbin said they received a call around 8 p.m. that night from a disoriented Thompson. They think the crash happened as early as 3:45 p.m. She left the roadway near a ramp and took out a lamppost, police said.

Sunday morning collision was along Highway 395 PASCO, WA, (November 07, 2021) - The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate a pedestrian crash Sunday morning that claimed the life of a 46-year-old Sunnyside man. The crash happened approximately 11 north of Pasco. Troopers said Andres Trujilla stopped his Dodge Ram pickup truck along the shoulder of southbound Highway 395 to secure a load on his trailer. At approximately 11 a.m., Trujilla was hit by a Ford pickup hauling a trailer.

RICHLAND COUNTY, OHIO, Ohio — A Delaware man died after being hit by a semi-truck on Interstate 71 in Richland County Monday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-71 in Perry Township around 2:30 p.m. OSHP said 65-year-old James Covrett was outside of his vehicle changing a tire on the horse trailer he was hauling when the semi-truck traveled off the right side of the road, hitting Covrett and the trailer.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Raleigh woman was hit by an SUV and died after she stopped to help victims who had been in a crash on South Miami Boulevard in Durham early Sunday morning. Jasmine Harbison, 29, of Raleigh and her boyfriend pulled over to assist victims who were trapped inside a flipped over Chevrolet Equinox. The driver of the Equinox had collided with a Nissan Maxima around 2:30 a.m. The collision caused the Equinox to rotate and flip onto its right side, coming to rest

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that was immediately followed by a hit-and-run on I-20 early Saturday morning in Richland County. According to Corporal Matt Southern with the Highway Patrol, the initial accident happened around 1:40 a.m. on westbound I-20 near mile marker 75. Southern said that a 2005 Honda Civic was traveling on the interstate when it left the road on the right side and struck a guardrail.

20-year-old stopped car in center lane of Alafaya Trail, FHP says ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 20-year-old Casselberry woman died Saturday when she left her vehicle to check on a deer that had been hit by a car and was struck herself by another car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Police say it happened late Sunday near mile marker 112. 25-year-old Kelsey K. Baptiste of Baton Rouge was one of seven in a passenger vehicle that became disabled in the left lane of I-10, police said. Their initial investigation revealed that Baptiste was outside the vehicle attempting to alert approaching traffic.
