Man changing tire on I-10 struck and killed by hit-and-run Semi-truck
TUCSON (KVOA) - The Arizona Department of Public Safety has confirmed that a person was struck and killed by a passing semi-truck while changing a tire on I-10 near milepost 289 early this morning. SOUTH BRUNSWICK - Police are seeking information in a hit-and-run that left a 28-year-old South Carolina man in serious condition after he was struck by a van early Saturday morning on southbound Route 1. At about 1 a.m., the man and his girlfriend were driving on southbound Route 1 near Beekman Road when the vehicle ran out of gas and became disabled, police said. The man got out to push the car and was struck by a white Sprinter van that fled the scene southbound on Route 1, police said.

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX CAROLINA) - A man has died following a crash on Tuesday, August 17 at about 4:43 p.m. in Spartanburg County, according to the Spartanburg Coroner’s Office. The Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 26-year-old Spencer Thomas Wilson. Wilson was pronounced dead today at 6 p.m. at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened near the 26 mile marker on I-26. Troopers said the driver of a tractor trailer was stopped facing west on I-26 when Wilson, also traveling west, hit the trailer in the rear.

Lackawanna County, PA – August 20, 2021, an 82-year-old man was killed when a tractor-trailer hit a disabled RV on Interstate 80 in Lackawanna County. Authorities say the incident happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. on I-80 West near Exit 8 toward Mount Cobb. Preliminary investigation suggests the victim’s RV was stopped in the roadway when it was struck from behind by a commercial 18-wheeler hauling garbage. Reports say four people were transported to area hospitals in critical condition.

CHERRY HILL - A motorist was fatally injured in a chain-reaction accident that involved four vehicles on Interstate 295, police say. The victim, whose name was not released, was driving southbound when his Honda struck a guardrail at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. His disabled car spun to a stop facing northbound in the center lane, according to New Jersey State Police. A southbound Chevrolet passenger van struck the Honda, ejecting the disabled car’s driver.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Two are dead after an accident late Tuesday that occurred about 17 miles south of Sarita in Kenedy County on U.S. Highway 77. DPS spokesman Sgt. Nathan Brandley said the accident occurred at about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. Preliminary investigation reveals that a truck tractor with one occupant was traveling south on US 77. A Chevrolet Tahoe with a driver and passenger was towing a utility trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the road after running out of gas.

UPDATE (WKOW) — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says that I-94 westbound lanes have reopened between Johnson Creek and Lake Mills. The lanes have been closed since around 4 a.m. Wednesday due to a fatal crash. Police said three people died in the multi-vehicle crash. The victim’s names are being withheld at this time while officials notify family. UPDATE (WKOW) – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said multiple people died in a crash on I-94 near Johnson Creek early Wednesday morning.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — All lanes of I-95 near CR-210 are now open after a crash involving serious injuries Tuesday morning. Florida Highway Patrol says four people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Four vehicles were involved. Their preliminary information shows a vehicle was disabled or had crashed going south on I-95 and a Good Samaritan stopped to help. That person was then hit by a second crash.That second crash may have been drivers taking evasive action or colliding into each other.

ORANGE, Texas — Investigators are working to identify a driver who was killed Monday night in a fiery wreck along Interstate 10 in Orange County. A 2016 Peterbilt commercial truck was disabled on the right shoulder of the interstate about a half-mile from the Womack Road exit when it was struck by a car according to ta news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.The 2016 Hyundai Sonata that struck the rear truck was also traveling westbound and then crossed across lanes of traffic, struck the concrete median barrier and burst into flames the release said.

SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. — A 68-year-old man from Mississippi died Tuesday morning after being hit by a vehicle in Shelby County. Officers with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department were called to the intersection of South Smithland Road and South 425 West around 12:40 a.m. on a report of a person struck.
