UPDATE: Six taken to hospital following Highway 93 crash
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — UPDATE (11:34 p.m.) A six-car pile-up on Highway 93 sent just as many people to the hospital on Monday. Idaho State Police say the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu going too fast for conditions, rear-ended a semi-truck. That caused a chain reaction, involving four other vehicles, including a second semi pulling a semi-trailer. Highway 93 was blocked for six hours in both directions, as crews worked to clear the scene.

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) - One person suffered critical injuries in a Friday night crash near Valley Center. The crash, reported a little after 9:30 p.m. happened in the 8200 block of North Ridge Road, near 85th North and Ridge. A vehicle hit the back of a parked car that was disabled, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said. Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Lt. Tim Forshee said first responders found several vehicles in the ditch upon arrival at the scene.

A driver suffered injuries after his truck crashed into a disabled vehicle on Interstate 90 in Erie County on Thursday, according to Pennsylvania State Police. It was reported in the eastbound lanes near the 19.8 mile marker in McKean Township around 9:42 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado truck was disabled in the right travel lane with its hazard lights on when another Chevrolet truck hit the rear-end of the disabled vehicle, State Police said.

Northbound lanes on the Trans-Canada Highway have partially re-opened following a multi-vehicle crash and vehicle fire near the start of the Malahat at West Shore Parkway. It was just one of several crashes Friday morning, and motorists are being advised to expect delays and to avoid the area if possible. Langford Fire Rescue acting Assistant Chief Simon Chadwick said the call came in just after 10 a.m. for a report of a multi-vehicle crash and fire.

Biloxi, MS – April 7, 2022, 81-year-old James Cockrell was killed in a collision with a parked 18-wheeler on Interstate 10 in Biloxi. Authorities say the incident happened shortly before 8:30 a.m. on eastbound I-10 near exit 50 toward Ocean Springs/St. Martin. Preliminary investigation suggests only that Cockrell was driving a car on the highway when he lost control for unknown reasons and crashed into an 18-wheeler that was stopped on the shoulder.

MERRIMACK, N.H. — A man who stopped to help at a crash scene on the Everett Turnpike in Merrimack early Friday morning was struck by a vehicle and seriously hurt. The 59-year-old man from Manchester had pulled over to the right side of the turnpike near mile marker 13 and was walking toward the crash scene when he was struck, police said. The victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
