Two killed in rear-end collision on North Kihei Road
Two people who were asleep in a parked car were killed when a pickup truck drifted onto the shoulder of North Kihei Road and rear-ended the vehicle early Sunday morning, according to the Maui Police Department. Preliminary investigation reveals a 2020 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling southeast on North Kihei Road, drifted onto the shoulder of the roadway and collided into the rear of a white 2003 Nissan Sentra four-door sedan that was parked on the shoulder about 2.

Two men are dead after stepping onto Interstate 95 in Dania Beach on Sunday to pull an object from the highway, said the Florida Highway Patrol. According to the highway patrol, the men were travelling south in a white Chevy pickup near the State Road 84 exit when the driver pulled to the shoulder of the interstate so he and his passenger could get the object. The two men were struck by an unknown vehicle, and the driver did not stop after striking the men.

A 29-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle while standing outside of his car on Interstate 459 in Hoover. Just before 11 p.m. Saturday, Hoover 911 received a call of a traffic crash involving a passenger car and a tractor-trailer on I-459 southbound, said Capt. Keith Czeskleba. The car was stopped in the travel lane as a result of that crash and the driver was standing outside of his vehicle when another vehicle hit him.

MESA, Ariz. - Westbound traffic near US-60 at Dobson Road was brought to a halt Sunday night after a deadly three-car crash involving a motorcyclist, the Arizona Department of Transportation said on April 3. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says, “Per preliminary info, a motorcycle collided with a passenger car stopped in the roadway. The motorcycle rider was then hit by another passenger car. Unknown why the initial vehicle was stopped in the roadway.

Seluster Lane, 77, of Redwood City, was killed in a truck accident in Bakersfield early on the morning of March 29. According to a KGET news report, the fatal truck crash occurred on Highway 99 just north of Merced Avenue. California Highway Patrol officers who responded to the scene saw that Lane had been ejected from his vehicle. He died at the scene as a result of injuries he suffered in the collision.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 26 in Charleston County early Thursday. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision took place on the westbound side around 2:10 a.m. near mile marker 216. Authorities said a Harley-Davidson struck the rear of a Cadillac that was disabled in the roadway. The operator of the motorcycle is deceased.

Littleton, MA – March 30, 2022, two people were injured after an accident where a commercial truck and two other vehicles crashed on Route 119. Authorities said that the crash took place at around 7:30 a.m. along Route 119. Initial reports said that a Jeep traveling eastbound on the highway crossed into oncoming traffic, crashing with an Acura. Those vehicles were then hit by a commercial box truck. After the crash, EMS transported the Jeep driver to a hospital via helicopter.

A 4-year-old girl that died in a three-vehicle crash on the Rainbow Bridge last week was not in a child safety seat or seat belt at the time of the incident, according to information from the Texas Department of Public Safety. The wreck happened at approximately 12:10 p.m. Friday on Texas 87 on the Rainbow Bridge. The 230-foot tall bridge connects motorists between Orange and Jefferson counties. A 2005 Ford pickup was disabled in the left lane of the bridge, DPS said.

A man who has been missing from Harrisburg for more than a week was found dead in a crashed car on Route 11/15 Monday, according to Perry County Coroner Robert Ressler. The crash was reported around 5:15 p.m. at exit U.S. 22/322 near the Perry County-Dauphin County line, PennDOT spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler confirmed. Ressler said it was a single-vehicle crash, with 26-year-old Earvin Otero as the only occupant. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but officials believe the car was there for a couple of days.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — One of the two men who were struck by a car Monday in southwest Shreveport has died. The Caddo coroner’s office identified him Tuesday, March 29 as 42-year-old Joseph L. Jones, of Caddo Parish. The wreck happened at 8:41 p.m. Monday, March 28 on Colquitt Road at Walker Road, Caddo 911 dispatch records show. The Shreveport Police Department says a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Suzuki motorcycle were stopped in the eastbound lane of Colquitt Road when the collision happened.
