EPPD identify woman killed in Sunday morning 5-car wreck on I-10
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso police identified the woman who was killed in a crash involving five vehicles early Sunday morning in East El Paso. Investigators said 27-year-old Kandy Abigail Duarte-Cassiano was killed in the five-car pile up that happened at about 2:00 a.m. on I-10 West, near the Fountains at Farah. Officials said a 24-year-old woman driving a 2007 Focus was traveling west on I-10, lost control and hit the cement barrier.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Kansas couple was killed in a crash on Interstate 24 in Tennessee on Sunday morning. Nashville police say 62-year-old Scott Whitmore and his wife, 58-year-old Melanie Whitmore of Topeka, traveling in a 2010 Honda Civic lost control and hit a guardrail on the right shoulder. The Honda then went back into the roadway where a 2017 Ford F-250 hit it. The Whitmores died at the scene and were both wearing seatbelts.

A 74-year-old man was struck and killed Saturday morning after his pickup broke down in a traffic lane on Spur 601 in Northeast El Paso, police said. Martin Telesforo Lopez was driving a 1985 Ford F-150 westbound on the highway when the truck had mechanical problems near Railroad Drive, police said. About 7 a.m., Lopez was outside his truck tying a tow strap when a car crashed into the back of the stalled pickup, police said.

A 64-year-old man was killed Sunday when he and his disabled vehicle were struck on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in San Dimas. A second vehicle that struck the Pomona resident fled the location, the California Highway Patrol reported. WETHERSFIELD, CT (WFSB) - State Police are looking for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run early Sunday morning. It happened on I-91 North near the Hartford line. Initially, the Connecticut Department of Transportation stated that it had occurred on the Hartford side. State Police say several people had been standing in the roadway after a collision had occurred earlier in the morning when three of them were struck by an oncoming vehicle.

Authorities say the incident happened shortly before 9:40 a.m. along FM 751 over Lake Tawakoni, roughly 4.5 miles southeast of Quinlan. Preliminary investigation suggests a Chevrolet pickup truck and a GMC pickup were both headed north on the roadway when the Chevy lost a box of food onto the roadway.

Weatherford, TX – September 15, 2021, 25-year-old Elijah Verdun was killed in a car accident along Interstate 20 in Weatherford. Authorities say the incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on I-20 near the exit to Brock. Preliminary investigation suggests Verdun was traveling west on the highway when he lost control for unknown reasons. His vehicle left the roadway, hit a guardrail, and rebounded back into the westbound lane where it was disabled and had no lights on.

One person was critically injured early Monday morning when two 18-wheelers collided along Interstate 30 in Royse City. The Royse City Police Department reported a call came in at around 12:15 a.m. Monday received a call of the collision on the eastbound interstate just past FM 2642. The accident was reported to have occurred when an 18-wheeler that had suffered some type of engine failure pulled over onto the outside shoulder at approximately the 82 mile marker.

Officials with Louisiana State Police say on Tuesday, Sept. 14, a 2008 GMC pickup, being driven by Ed Thorn, 85, of Terrell, Texas, was headed south on I-49 just south of Highway 175 while multiple wreckers and employees were on the shoulder helping a disabled commercial vehicle.
