Three men were struck, two of them fatally, when a vehicle plowed into two vehicles Friday night along Route 222 in Ontelaunee Township as several males were changing a tire. Fourth and fifth victims are reportedly in critical condition in Reading Hospital where they were taken after the crash about 9:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes about three-quarters of a mile north of Route 61, Northern Berks Regional police said Saturday.

ISP: One semi hits another on I-65, killing driver who was outside of his vehicle

JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. — A semitruck driver is dead after a crash that happened while he was on the side of the road. According to Indiana State Police, Daniel Cosma, 41, of North Royalton, Ohio, was driving his semi south on I-65 Thursday morning when he had a mechanical issue in a construction zone. Police said he stopped near Seymour, and sat in the right lane, since there was no shoulder.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC)– Two Good Samaritans tell 8News they have a long road to recovery after a car slammed into them while they helped a person change a flat tire. What started out as a good deed ended with two men spending four days at the VCU Medical Center. The accident occurred on Interstate-95 North near Maury Street (Exit 73) in downtown Richmond on June 30. David Gower, one of the men hit, is now confined to a neck brace with limited mobility, telling 8News he’s lucky to be alive.

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police say one person died after a fiery crash on I-96 in Detroit on Monday evening. According to police, a vehicle had broken down in a lane of travel along eastbound I-96 at Warren just before 6:30 p.m. Moments later, police say a vehicle struck the broken down car, and then a third vehicle hit the second. The first car that was broken down caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames when troopers arrived.

The drivers of a semi truck and a second vehicle were taken to Southdale Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash Tuesday morning in Edina. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened just before 6 a.m. Officials said the semi was traveling south on Highway 100 near Benton Avenue when it hit a Buick Lacrosse on the road’s right shoulder. The semi swerved, and went up the highway’s embankment.

Milford Man hit by truck and killed after car breaks down on US-23, Livingston Sheriffs report

Livingston County, Mich. — A 41-year-old Milford resident was struck and killed by a truck on US-23 south of Clyde Road in Hartland Township after his car broke down today. Deputies from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a semi-tractor and trailer incident involving the 41-year-old Milford individual at 11:26 a.m. The investigation revealed that the pedestrian exited his vehicle and was struck by a 2005 Kenworth semi-tractor and trailer in the southbound lane of travel.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Pleasantville man died after his motorcycle hit a car disabled on the roadway. Brian Lewis, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two cars crashed at milepost 55.2 westbound at 2:02 a.m. Sunday. Shortly after, Lewis’s motorcycle hit one of the vehicles. Before Lewis arrived, another Pleasantville resident parked a Volkswagen Jetta on the shoulder, activating the hazard lights. An Egg Harbor Township resident driving a Kia Sportage left the road for an unknown reason and struck the Volkswagen, police said.

Two people were killed in a multi-car pileup on Interstate 275 on Monday morning near the Indiana-Kentucky border.It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the interstate at the 13.4-mile marker, near the Carroll Cropper Bridge. A man died and two others were injured Monday after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate-64 in Hampton, according to a news release from Virginia State Police. Police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya said in the news release that a man was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus with a female passenger on I-64 when the vehicle broke down. The vehicle was disabled on the right shoulder, west of the Hampton Roads Center Parkway.
