Multi-Vehicle Pileups in Oklahoma City Shut Down Interstate 40; Deadly Crash Closes I-35
Icy roads led to at least two multi-vehicle pileups Monday morning in Oklahoma City as roadways around the city froze over. A 15-car pileup happened at about 7:30 a.m. CST on Interstate 40 at Mustang Road, KOKH reported. A second, 25-vehicle pileup was reported about an hour later on Oklahoma City Boulevard, near I-40 and S. Agnew Avenue, KOKH said. The second pileup involved an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper, the station reported.

HEWITT, Texas — A person who stopped to help with a car crash was critically injured after being hit by a car passing by the night of Feb. 6, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Troopers responded to the crash on FM 2837 and Chapel Road, west of Hewitt just before 8 p.m. A Jeep crashed into a Chevrolet Sonic that failed to yield right of way to the Jeep, according to the DPS.

Multi-vehicle crashes about 6 miles west of Park City have traffic on westbound I-90 backed up and drivers should detour if they plan on continuing west past the crash area, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. By 2:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon, MHP announced on social media that it expected I-90 near the crash to be closed “well into the evening.” The primary crash involves five semis and two pickup trucks, MHP said in the post.

MARRERO (WVUE) -Two people were killed Saturday night when they stopped to render aid to a car crash victim, according to Louisiana State Police. A state police spokesman says around 9:40 pm, troopers investigated a fatal crash on US 90B eastbound near the intersection of MacArthur Avenue in Jefferson Parish. The crash killed 53-year-old Ruby Roman of Harvey and another person who has not been identified. La. State Police say the car crash resulted in that vehicle being disabled in the roadway.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – A 25-year-old is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash in Philadelphia’s East Oak Lane section, police said. According to police, the woman was driving west on East Cheltenham Avenue at about 4 a.m. when she lost control and hit at least two parked cars.The woman stopped and got out of her car to inspect the damage when she was hit by an Audi The woman was thrown about 30 feet before she landed in a snowbank, police said.

CRISP COUNTY, Ga. - A fiery crash involving two semi-trucks in Crisp County is under investigation. According to Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock, the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday on I-75 near mile marker 103. Hancock says a tractor-trailer was parked on the shoulder when it was hit by another truck. Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

ATLANTA, GA, (February 05, 2021) - Alberto Henderson, 48, tragically lost his life after being hit by a tractor-trailer Friday morning in Atlanta. He had a flat tire and was struck when he walked across Interstate-285 to read a road sign, police said.Investigators at the scene determined Henderson was hit around 2:15 a.m. while trying to pinpoint his location after blowing a tire on the inner loop near the ramp to Interstate-20 in Fulton County.

HOMER, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A Cincinnatus native has died after a serious crash involving a U-Haul truck in the town of Homer Thursday. 55-year-old Michael J. Knickerbocker was driving a Chevrolet Impala traveling southwest on State Route 13 when he struck the parked truck. The truck was stopped on the shoulder of the road making deliveries. Knickerbocker was taken to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center were he was pronounced dead. There were two individuals inside the U-Haul.

One person received a serious leg injury during a four-vehicle crash on the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County. The crash took place around 9 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 4, on the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich, said the Connecticut State Police. According to police, the crash occurred when a vehicle was disabled on the shoulder of the northbound lane and a second vehicle was stopped adjacent to the vehicle to offer aid when it was struck by another vehicle who was hit from behind while changing lanes and then braked because of the second car.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A chain-reaction crash involving three vehicles ended with the death of one of the drivers involved, deputies in northeast Harris County said late Wednesday. The crash happened in the 12000 block of Lockwood before 11 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies said a Honda and a Cadillac were involved in a minor incident while heading southbound. The Honda pulled off the road while the Cadillac driver stopped on Lockwood.Deputies said the Cadillac driver got out of his vehicle and was then hit by a Mercedes that was also heading southbound.
