Mass. man struck by car, seriously injured on I-93 in Londonderry, NH
A Massachusetts man was flown to the hospital after he was struck by a car when he stepped out of his vehicle in the breakdown lane of Interstate 93 in Londonderry, New Hampshire, on Saturday morning. State police say 40-year-old Felix Matos Medina, of Lawrence, had stopped on the right side of I-93 south at Exit 5 just before 11 a.m. to investigate a possible mechanical issue. He was struck shortly after he stepped out of his vehicle by a Chevrolet Malibu and sustained serious injuries.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was killed in a crash late Thursday morning on the far northwest side, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Police said it happened around 10:21 a.m. along I-10 East near Dominion Drive. According to investigators, a white truck and a black Ford F-250 were initially involved in a minor collision. The driver of the black F-250 pulled over. Police said the driver of the white truck got out of his vehicle and returned to it to try to move it.

A 29-year-old man from Everett, whose car was struck by a school bus on northbound I-5 near Marysville Tuesday morning, died in the hospital from his injuries. According to the Washington State Patrol, he was stopped in the HOV lane when the bus collided with his car. The bus driver, a 59-year-old woman from Everett, was also injured and taken to the hospital. Three left lanes, including the HOV lane, were shut down Tuesday morning.

A Waterbury resident had their vehicle destroyed and faces three charges following a crash on I-84 West Tuesday night. A 1997 Lexus ES 300 was parked in the right shoulder of the interstate between Exit 10 and 9 when it was struck by a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia traveling in the right lane around 10:35 pm February 24, according to Connecticut State Police. The CSP report notes the truck was negotiating a right curve when it struck the vehicle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a trooper was injured Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle while parked in a patrol vehicle at a construction site. Officials said the collision happened on the Kilpatrick Turnpike and that the motorist entered a “closed construction zone” and struck the OHP vehicle, which had its emergency lights activated. The trooper and the motorist suffered minor injuries from the collision. “Incidents like this happen far too often and are most often the result of driver inattention.

A fatal 18-wheeler accident on February 24, 2026, claimed the life of a 45-year-old Brownfield man after his pickup collided with a tractor-trailer on U.S. Highway 62 in Terry County, Texas. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 6:44 a.m. about half a mile southwest of County Road 515. Investigators reported that a tractor-trailer was traveling southwest on U.S. 62 when the driver attempted to use a crossover to turn around and head northeast.

A Connecticut man was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer late Monday night, Feb. 24, as he was clearing snow off his car on the side of the Massachusetts Turnpike, authorities said. Massachusetts State Police identified the victim as Patrick Sarpong, 35, of Vernon, Connecticut. According to an email from Trooper Leah O’Connell, Sarpong had pulled over on the side of the Mass. Pike westbound, near mile marker 104.6 in Hopkinton, to clear snow off his vehicle.

A 22-year-old man was killed Monday night after getting out of his disabled vehicle on an exit ramp off Interstate 287, authorities said. The crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. at Exit 14B near milepost 14.4 in Bridgewater Township in Somerset County, according to New Jersey State Police. Vince M. Veglatte, of Bridgewater, was driving a vehicle that became disabled in the left lane of the ramp, which leads to U.S. 22 West from I-287 North, troopers said.

A fatal 18-wheeler accident was reported on February 23, 2026, in New Mexico, after a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office sergeant was conducting a traffic stop on westbound I-40 near Carnuel (around mile marker 170). Investigators report the sergeant had exited his patrol unit when a semi-truck struck the rear of the department vehicle, pinning him underneath. He was pronounced dead at the scene. When a law enforcement officer (or any roadside worker or motorist) is struck during a stop on an active interstate, investigators typically focus on what the truck driver could see, what warnings were present, how traffic was flowing, and whether the driver had enough time and distance to safely react.

A trooper survived after being hit by an SUV this month in a terrifying accident captured on video in Upstate New York. The New York State Police released a body camera video Tuesday of the “close call” crash in Duane, a tiny town about 21 miles northwest of Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. Troopers said the “near-fatal crash” happened around 8:07 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, at the intersection of State Route 458 and State Route 30 while state police were investigating a property damage accident.
