FHP: 2 killed in separate crashes in Columbia County
COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol reported two traffic-related deaths in Columbia County on Sunday. There have been six deaths across five crashes in Flagler, Clay and Columbia counties Sunday morning. At approximately 5:20 a.m., an SUV was disabled in the westbound lane of State Road 100 near County Road 245A, the crash report said. The previous driver of the SUV, a 31-year-old Lake City man, was standing outside the vehicle.

An investigation is underway in Arizona after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 left at least six people dead and more than a dozen injured. According to information provided by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, just before 1 p.m. local time on Saturday, troopers responded to the area of I-10 eastbound near milepost 89, west of Tonopah, for a crash involving multiple tractor-trailers and passenger vehicles. Several of the vehicles caught fire after the crash, officials said.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) responded to a collision involving a commercial vehicle in Oklahoma City over the weekend. The crash occurred on the morning of March 1 on I-35 near Grand in Oklahoma City. Troopers say that that a semi truck struck a stalled car on the interstate, causing the truck to lose three of the large barriers from the trailer. The barriers struck a second vehicle, according to OHP.

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Police say a pedestrian was struck and several people were taken to the hospital for injuries after a crash involving three cars in Waterbury. The crash happened around 9:41 p.m. at the intersection of Chase Avenue and Hill Street, police said. According to police, the drivers were outside of their cars after a two-car crash when a third car hit the rear end of one of the cars.

WILSON, Kan. (WIBW) - A New Jersey man was killed early Wednesday after a passing semitrailer hit his toppled box truck after it became disabled on Interstate 70 in western Kansas, shutting down a portion of the roadway for several hours, authorities said. The driver of the semi also suffered serious injuries in the crash, officials said. The fatal crash was reported at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday on westbound Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County.

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — A 28-year-old Mentor man has died following an overnight crash on I-480 West near the North Ridgeville city limits. North Ridgeville police say it was around 12:58 a.m. Wednesday when their officers responded to the scene of the crash where “it was determined that a single vehicle left the right side of the roadway and struck a disabled semi truck.” The driver of the vehicle that struck the semi was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cleveland, TN — February 24, 2025, Bobby Little was killed in a truck accident at about 3 p.m. on Interstate 75. Authorities said a vehicle crashed into the back of a semi-truck that was disabled on the side of the highway. Driver Bobby Little, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash south of County Road 60, according to authorities. No other injuries were reported. Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bradley County crash at this time.

Taylor County, TX — August 9, 2024, Elton Marsh Sr. and two others were injured following a multi-truck accident at around 2:15 a.m. along I-20. Investigators said in initial statements that the accident happened along the westbound lanes of the interstate near Scott Road/F.M. 707. According to officials, 50-year-old Elton Marsh Sr. was in a Freightliner semi-trailer going along the interstate. Another semi-trailer and a Ford pickup with a trailer were parked along the shoulder.

St. Louis, MO (February 25, 2025) – A nighttime crash on westbound Interstate 44, just east of Bowles Avenue, left two people injured on Monday. The collision occurred at approximately 10:23 p.m. and resulted in both vehicles sustaining total damage. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when a 2016 Volkswagen Passat, driven by a 39-year-old woman from St. Louis, veered off the roadway and collided with a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter van that was stopped on the shoulder.

STONECREST, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An 11-year-old girl is dead after a multi-car crash that blocked traffic for hours on I-20 westbound in DeKalb County early Monday morning. Seven people were injured in the crash, which happened in Stonecrest, according to the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department. The girl killed has been identified as Nevaeh Govan by the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office. A man was also critically injured in the crash, and a 9-year-old was hurt, according to police.
