THREE FIREFIGHTERS, ONE EMT STRUCK ON I-26 – TENNESSEE
KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Four first responders were injured Monday night after they were reportedly struck by a vehicle while responding to crashes on Interstate 26 in Kingsport. According to the Kingsport Fire Department (KFD), its members were on I-26 westbound near Exit 6 at around 10 p.m. Monday, working a crash when a secondary crash took place behind the first incident. The KFD said its members, along with personnel from Sullivan County EMS, immediately went to the second crash to provide first aid.

A Florida police officer’s dashboard camera captured the moment another vehicle slammed into the cruiser during a crash investigation last week. The incident happened shortly after 8:50 p.m. Sept. 16 when a North Point police officer was at the scene of a previous crash along Interstate 75, the department stated in a social media post, which included dashcam footage. While the officer was out of his cruiser, another vehicle that didn’t move over struck the unit, spinning it around.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — One driver is dead after a crash involving a pickup truck and a semitruck early Monday morning on Interstate 270. According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened just before 1 a.m. Monday on northbound I-270, south of Interstate 44. Troopers said a 2013 Ram 1500 pickup truck was stopped in Lanes 1 and 2, facing east, after being involved in a previous crash.

Investigators say 30-year-old Brayan Castro-Delgado was driving a black Nissan Frontier east when his vehicle crossed the center line, ran off the road and hit a ditch.

A woman was killed early Wednesday morning after her disabled vehicle was struck from behind and caught fire on the 91 Freeway in Corona. The fatal collision occurred around 1:10 a.m. on September 23, 2026, on the westbound 91 Freeway east of Green River Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Nissan Altima became disabled and was blocking the No. 2 lane. The female driver exited the Nissan and was standing directly in front of it when an approaching Hyundai Accent collided with the rear of her vehicle.

Saddle Brook Police Chief John Zotollo Jr. identified the officer as Nicholas Genuario, who was sworn into the department in 2024. Genuario had stopped a gray Nissan Maxima in the deceleration lane of Route 80 eastbound at milepost 62.4 around 4:34 a.m., New Jersey State Police said. While Genuario was outside the vehicle, an unknown vehicle traveling east struck the left side of the Nissan and the officer before fleeing the scene, state police said.
