Three vehicle crash in Sanpete County leaves one dead
SANPETE COUNTY, Utah — One person died resulting from a crash on SR-89 in Sanpete County around 7:30 p.m. on January 27. The crash involved three vehicles, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety, DPS. A Chevrolet Silverado pulling a trailer with a boat, traveling southbound on the SR-89, exited near mile marker 261. Then, the driver attempted to turn onto a side road, despite almost missing the turn.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - One person is dead following a crash that happened Saturday morning on I-85 northbound, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Troopers said the crash happened at 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28. near the 72-mile marker in the left lane. According to Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was getting out of a disabled vehicle in the median when they were hit by a Kia SUV traveling north on I-85.

An Escanaba couple was killed in a traffic crash Friday in Delta County’s Garden Township. State Police investigators say a semi-truck westbound on US-2 lost control, and slid across the centerline, and struck an oncoming white SUV head-on. The occupants of the white SUV, 47-year-old Gerald Weaver and 46-year-old Tara Weaver, were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash left the semi trailer blocking the roadway. It was struck by a black SUV driven by a 38-year-old man from Oshkosh.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Stockton man was killed and three others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-5 in Sacramento Thursday night. According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 9:30 p.m. on southbound I-5, north of J Street. CHP says a driver was broken down in the center divider of the interstate waiting for AAA. Their tow truck driver stopped in the #1 lane and a Lexus then pulled up and stopped behind the tow truck.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY — The driver of a pickup truck was killed early Friday after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 64 in Washington Park. The crash happened on eastbound I-64 about 3:30 a.m. Friday, near the Kingshighway/Highway 111 exit in St. Clair County, authorities said. JANESVILLE, Wis. (WLS) – At multi-vehicle crash involving as many as 50 vehicles amid whiteout conditions near the Illinois-Wisconsin border has shut down the roadway Friday afternoon. Beloit Memorial Hospital confirms they have received 27 patients from the crash, WISN reported. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 181. Both directions of I-39/90 in between Janesville and Beloit were shut down for hours for investigation and clean up. They reopened Friday night.

Crews responded just after 7 a.m. to the intersection of Rt. 26 and Old Route 26 for a report of a damaged car on the side of the road. Thomas Zulke was reportedly driving north on Rt. 26 when his vehicle veered off the road into the southbound lane and into the ditch.

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. - Two Milwaukee women died in a crash in Racine County on Thursday morning, Jan. 26, and it was one of more than a dozen crashes amid slippery conditions. Sheriff’s officials said around 3:30 a.m., a semi rolled over on I-94 southbound, just north of the Highway 20 exit. I-94 and the Frontage Road between the Caledonia area and Mount Pleasant were very slippery, and sheriff’s officials responded to 15 crashes around the same time as the semi rollover.

GEORGIA, Vt. — A pedestrian was injured in Georgia on Thursday after a car lost control and slid off the roadway while a motorist was attempting to help another driver. Vermont State Police said a driver on Highbridge Road in Georgia stopped to help another motorist, identified as 27-year-old Christopher Tuttle of Fairfax, who was standing outside his vehicle after his car had slid off the side of the road due to icy conditions.

SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (WWBT) -Multiple crashes on I-95 in Spotsylvania involving nearly 20 vehicles are causing significant delays Wednesday evening. On Jan. 25, Virginia State Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash northbound on I-95 at the 116-mile marker. Officials investigated and found three separate crashes involved. VDOT says 18 vehicles were involved in the crash as well. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They believe the initial crash caused a chain of secondary, reaction-style impacts after a sedan spun out in the rain.
