Idaho man dies in Interstate 84 car crash in Payette County on Thursday morning
A 46-year-old man died Thursday morning after crashing his SUV into a disabled car that was in the eastbound Interstate 84 median in Payette County. At about 7:55 a.m., the Fruitland man was heading east on I-84 in a Jeep Cherokee when his SUV sideswiped a Chevrolet Impala that was stationary at about milepost 16, according to an Idaho State Police news release. After hitting the Impala, the man’s Jeep overturned and came to rest in the westbound emergency lane, ISP said.

ATOKA COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – Authorities are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Texas man. Around 2:40 p.m. on Sept. 14, emergency crews were called to a crash along U.S. Hwy 69, 13 miles north of Stringtown. Investigators say a 2020 Ram 3500 truck, driven by 35-year-old Jesus Zuniga, was heading southbound on Hwy 69. For an unknown reason, the truck left the roadway to the left, hit a cable barrier, and then entered the northbound lanes.

Mesquite, TX – August 30, 2022, Larry Dean Fann was killed after an accident where a car and an 18-wheeler collided. Investigators were called to the area of LBJ Freeway and Bruton Road at around 9:10 p.m. It appears that 61-year-old Larry Dean Fann was in a Chevy Cruze traveling southbound on the interstate. Ahead, it appears that an 18-wheeler was stationary due to mechanical issues. While there, Fann’s vehicle crashed into the back of the trailer.

Shelby County, TX — August 18, 2022, 19-year-old Ethan Strother was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler on State Highway 7 in Shelby County. Authorities say the incident happened around 8:35 a.m. along TX-7 near Farm ot Market Road 2608. Preliminary investigation suggests a Freightliner semi-truck was towing a trailer east on the highway when it approached a second Freightliner 18-wheeler on the shoulder, which was unloading power poles for nearby construction.

A woman was struck and killed on Md. 295 in Maryland’s Anne Arundel County after she crashed her Volkswagen SUV and then got out of the vehicle Sunday morning, Maryland State Police said. The woman is identified as Marian Narain, 21, of Gambrills. She died at the scene. Maryland State Police said that shortly before 6 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on southbound Route 295 at Nursery Road.

It happened in the southbound lanes near mile marker 39 at approximately 9:46 p.m. According to Georgia State Patrol, three separate crashes occurred. GSP said in the first crash, a Honda Accord rear ended a Toyota Tacoma. That caused the Tacoma to travel off the west shoulder of the roadway.

Two core features of smart motorways contributed to the death of a grandmother when her car broke down and was hit by another driver, a coroner has ruled. Nargis Begum, 62, had climbed out of the passenger seat of a Nissan Qashqai on the M1 in South Yorkshire when it was struck by a Mercedes, causing it to plough into her. The lack of a hard shoulder and a loophole in the M1’s incident detection system had left her stranded on the tarmac for more than 16 minutes before collision, the inquest into her death was told.

Two separate car crashes on I-5 south of Seattle late Friday and early Saturday left three people dead, according to the Washington State Patrol. The first occurred near Tukwila, just before 11 p.m. Friday. A driver lost control while heading north near Southcenter. The driver’s car rolled across all lanes of traffic, stopping in the HOV lane. A second vehicle ran into the flipped car, killing the driver and passenger inside the first car.

OHIO, USA — A 43-year-old man from Marion was killed after being struck by a semi-truck while he was standing on the side of Interstate 71 in Madison County on Friday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a man driving the semi was traveling southbound on I-71, but drove off the right side of the road around 9:10 a.m. Shawn Koons, who was outside of his pickup truck, was hit by the semi.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A 16-year-old died Tuesday night after being hit by a semi-truck on a portion of Interstate 80, according to Iowa State Patrol. Authorities said a semi-truck was heading westbound on I-80 and a car was stopped on the inside shoulder of the road. The teen got out of the car and walked into the path of the truck and was killed, according to troopers. The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.
