One dead, another injured in fiery three-vehicle crash on I-96 in Ottawa County
MARNE, Mich. — One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash on westbound I-96 in Ottawa County early Sunday morning. The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. near the 24-mile marker in Wright Township. Investigators say a semi-truck had entered westbound I-96 from Ironwood Drive and was traveling down the freeway when an Infiniti approached from behind. Deputies say the Infiniti attempted to pass the semi by driving on the shoulder.

A man who was standing outside his car after a crash on I-24 westbound was struck and tossed by another car Friday evening, the Chattanooga Police Department says. The victim was driving the second of two cars involved in the first crash around 7:20pm Friday evening, according to a statement from a spokesperson. Both cars pulled over onto the right shoulder, and shortly after one man got out, a third vehicle approaching stopped traffic went into the shoulder and hit the victim’s car.

Four motorcyclists struck other vehicles on Interstate 5 near Camp Pendleton. By Nathan Solis Two of three motorcyclists killed in a fiery chain-reaction crash on Interstate 5 near Camp Pendleton on Thursday morning were active-duty sailors, the Navy confirmed Friday. The pair were riding southbound on the 5 Freeway shortly after 3 a.m. when they and two other motorcyclists struck other vehicles that had crashed, the California Highway Patrol said.

LANSING, Mich. (News 10) - Michigan State Police officials are asking for tips after a suspected hit-and-run crash on I-69 left a man seriously injured Friday afternoon. MSP officials say the crash happened around 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25 on I-69 near M-100. Officials say a 52-year-old man from DeWitt had pulled onto the shoulder of the expressway to check his trailer that was having some mechanical issues. As he was checking his trailer, a car headed south on I-69 hit him and left the scene without stopping to check on the victim, according to MSP.

A woman who got out of her car after a crash was killed on Highway 101 in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said. Driving a 2011 Nissan Juke around 11:30 p.m. Monday, she rear-ended a 2013 Toyota Prius driven by a 30-year-old man in the northbound lanes south of Oakland Road, the CHP said. The cars were both disabled in the lanes of traffic, authorities said. The woman then exited her vehicle and was standing between the two disabled cars when a 2008 Toyota Camry driven by a 50-year-old woman collided with the Nissan.

York County, PA — September 22, 2026, a truck driver was injured in a hit-and-run accident at about 9:50 p.m. on Interstate 83/Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Memorial Highway. Authorities said a northbound semi-truck was parked on the shoulder at mile marker 2 near Shrewsbury. The driver was struck by a passing vehicle as he inspected the truck. The vehicle continued north after the collision. The truck driver, whose name has not been made public yet, was hospitalized with unspecified injuries, according to authorities.

Dispatchers received reports of a multi-vehicle crash just west of the Trumbull County line near Fenstermaker Road shortly after 6 a.m. in Nelson Township. Rescue crews from Portage and Trumbull Counties were sent to the scene along eastbound Route 422, just past Fenstermaker Road. The Ohio State Highway Patrol told 21 News that six vehicles were involved.
