1 killed as FedEx truck, SUV crash on Florida’s Turnpike at I-595 in Broward
One person was killed and another injured in a crash on the Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County Friday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials. The crash happened at around 6:49 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike at Mile Marker 55, where it meets Interstate 595. According to FHP, the crash involved a 2021 Mercedes Benz SUV and a 2015 Freightliner pulling two trailers. Video shows the latter vehicle with the FedEx logo.

ORLANDO, Fla. — A 51-year-old man was hospitalized after a crash involving five vehicles on Florida’s Turnpike in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at approximately 2:33 a.m. on Friday at the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near mile marker 257 in Orlando. The accident involved a 2017 BMW X6 that was in the center outside lane and a 2021 semi-truck with a trailer in the outside lane.

Three people were killed and five others were injured after a car crashed into a group of people near a separate collision on an Illinois highway. The incident occurred just after midnight local time on Wednesday, Dec. 3, on Interstate 57 in Calumet Park, according to preliminary information from Illinois State Police obtained by PEOPLE. A preliminary investigation indicated the first crash involved three vehicles just south of 120th Street, authorities said.

MAUMEE, OH, (November 30, 2025) - A 30-year-old man was tragically killed in an accident Sunday on a shoulder of Interstate 475 south in Maumee. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Amandeep Amandeep, a resident of Winnipeg, Canada, was on the shoulder next to a disabled vehicle when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old just before 5:30 p.m. Amandeep was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is reminding all drivers to slow down and move over for flashing lights, every single time. According to the agency, on Monday while working a crash on I-435, a Trooper’s patrol SUV was struck by a passing vehicle. At the time of the collision, the Trooper was inside his vehicle, parked on the right shoulder with emergency lights on. Thankfully, the trooper sustained only minor injuries and has since been treated and released back to full duty.

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A truck driver is accused of causing a crash that left one man dead and his wife injured. Mark Singleton faces a vehicular manslaughter charge. Sukanta Panda, 76, and his 71-year-old wife were in their car on the shoulder of eastbound SR-126 with a flat tire on Nov. 3. According to court papers, their car was completely out of traffic. Singleton is accused of drifting while coming out of a curve and hitting the Pandas’ car, killing Sukanta.

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - The Alexandria Police Department said they are investigating a fatal crash involving three cars on I-49 over the weekend. APD said Danielle Jones, 28, was driving southbound on November 30 around 4:29 a.m. when the vehicle (a GMC Acadia) left the road and hit a guardrail. The impact caused the vehicle to become disabled in the middle of the road. Shortly after, due to heavy rainfall and reduced visibility, the Acadia was hit by two other vehicles.

The crash occurred Sunday just before 5:30 p.m. According to a press release, a 19-year-old was traveling south on I-475 when the driver struck two pedestrians, ages 29 and 30, who were walking on the left shoulder next to their disabled vehicle, identified in a press release as a semi-truck.

The New York State Police said the wreck happened in the southbound lanes just south of Exit 11. Troopers responded around 8:00 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious collision. A preliminary investigation found that two vehicles traveled south on the highway. One vehicle rear-ended the other, which pushed the struck vehicle off the left shoulder.
