OSHP: 2 people, including teen, seriously injured in Adams County crash
MEIGS TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Two people, including a teen, were seriously injured early Monday in a crash in Adams County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. OSHP said that troopers were called to State Route 32 near Lawshe Road in Meigs Township around 3:30 a.m. for a crash involving two vehicles. Troopers found that a juvenile male was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound on State Route 32 when he drove off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected the SUV and crossed the grass median on the state route.

A man was killed Thursday evening after being struck by an SUV while changing a tire on the shoulder of northbound Interstate 75 in Pembroke Pines, just south of Pines Boulevard. The man was thrown into the outside lane and died at the scene, according to investigators. The Florida Highway Patrol reported the crash at about 5:05 p.m., according to WPLG Local 10. Investigators say a 2026 Honda CR-V was traveling northbound in the outside merge lane when its 69-year-old driver attempted to move into the outside lane but was unable to complete the lane change safely.

ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — New York State Police say one person is dead after a semi hit a pickup truck on the Thruway Friday morning. According to Troopers, a 2018 Volvo tractor-trailer was driving westbound on the 90 in the town of Newstead, when it crashed into a disabled 2012 Chevy pickup truck that was on the shoulder. The driver of the pickup, Olive Wesley, 61 of Rochester, died at the scene.

A man was killed and a 2-year-old child was inside his vehicle when it was struck on Interstate 75 in Miramar during Thursday evening’s rush hour, authorities said. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75, just north of Miramar Parkway. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver was outside his vehicle changing a tire on the right shoulder when he was struck by another vehicle.

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Two police SUVs were left disabled after a driver hit them from behind early Thursday, the Washington Township Police Department said. At around 1:40 a.m., officers stopped a driver along Route 42 between Exits 7 and 7B. While pulled over, they learned that one person in the car had outstanding warrants and took them into custody. One of the officers then went back into his vehicle to finish paperwork while the other stayed outside.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A car hit and killed a box truck driver who had stepped out of their crashed vehicle on I-485 in west Charlotte Tuesday morning. The deadly collision happened around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, along the highway’s outer loop near West Boulevard. Troopers said a box truck ran off the road and hit a concrete utility access. The driver got out and was standing in the roadway when a passing Toyota reportedly hit and killed them.

CALHOUN COUNTY, MI — Two people were killed when a semitruck hit them on I-94, the Michigan State Police said. The crash occurred around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, on eastbound I-94 near 22 ½ Mile Road in Marengo Township. The truck hit and fatally injured two motorists who were on the shoulder of the road after exiting their truck to check on a flat tire, MSP said after a preliminary investigation.

From the CHP traffic log stated a disabled pickup truck was blocking the slow lane. The pickup truck was hit from behind by a semi tractor-trailer and lost control and overturned.

DALLAS — A 36-year-old man died overnight Monday following a three-vehicle crash that shut down US 75 for hours. The crash was reported around 8:55 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, in the southbound lanes of US 75 near Belt Line Road, the Richardson Police Department said in a press release. Investigators found that the driver of a Ford pickup with a blown tire was traveling slowly in the southbound lanes of US 75 when it was hit from behind by an Infiniti sedan, officials said.

PALM BAY, Fla. — A fatal chain-reaction crash on Interstate 95 in Titusville began when a driver struck an alligator in the roadway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened near mile marker 214. Troopers said the driver of a Mercedes attempted to avoid the alligator but ultimately hit the animal, causing catastrophic damage to the vehicle and leaving it disabled in the roadway. A woman driving a pickup truck behind the Mercedes then tried to avoid the wreck, investigators said.
