2 dead after truck crashes into parked tractor-trailer on I-75, troopers say
CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Tennessee Highway Patrol said two people died in a crash that had I-75 South shut down for much of Saturday in Campbell County near the state line. According to THP’s preliminary report, a GMC pickup truck was traveling southbound near mile marker 161 Saturday morning when it hit the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder. The driver, 21-year-old Jesus Eduardo Silva, and passenger, 20-year-old Denise Andrade, both of Georgia, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, THP said.

Schuylkill County, PA (April 23, 2026) – A 49-year-old Schuylkill County man was killed when his disabled vehicle was struck head-on in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 78 late Wednesday night, Pennsylvania State Police report. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the fatal collision occurred just after 11 p.m. in Bethel Township, Berks County. Investigators say the incident is a secondary crash, in which a second vehicle struck an already-disabled vehicle that had come to rest in the left lane facing the wrong direction.

BEAUMONT, Texas — A reserve deputy constable from Jefferson County was killed Friday morning after a Mack truck struck the rear of her patrol vehicle while she was conducting traffic control on Interstate 10 near Winnie, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Authorities identified the deputy as Heather Avery, 48, of the Jefferson County Precinct One Constable’s Office. The crash occurred at approximately 7:41 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near the 830-mile marker in Chambers County.

He was flung across the road as his wife and daughter witnessed it all.

At around 10:30 p.m. on April 18, a Chevrolet pickup that was changing lanes struck a Chevrolet SUV, which then struck a jersey wall. The SUV was then struck by a Toyota Camry.
