Bowie BMW Driver Killed On I-495 In Lanham After SUV Becomes Disabled On Highway: State Police
Bowie resident Mijah Smith was the sole occupant of a BMW SUV that was involved in a fatal crash in Prince George’s County late on Monday night, according to Maryland State Police. Investigators say shortly before 10:15 p.m. on April 13, Smith was driving on the interstate near Maryland 704 when, for unknown reasons, she traveled off the roadway, struck a barrier, and the vehicle became inoperable between the shoulder and left lane.

A 68-year-old man was killed on Friday, April 10, after being struck by a vehicle while checking on people involved in a prior crash on Highway 40 west of Willmar, Minnesota. The initial incident involved two eastbound vehicles that collided, and the victim, identified as Jeffrey Dean Bauman, had stopped to assist the occupants when he was hit by an eastbound Chevy Equinox.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. - A 48-year-old Sheboygan man died Sunday, April 12, after being struck by a semi on Interstate 43 in the Town of Mosel, according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office. What we know: Authorities said the crash happened around 4:12 p.m. on northbound I-43 south of Garton Road. Preliminary investigation indicates the man had pulled over while driving a Ford Explorer and exited his vehicle along the interstate.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is mourning one of its own following a serious crash on Wednesday. The sheriff’s office said Deputy Landon Faulkner was involved in a serious crash on Wednesday evening. Faulkner was traveling on Highway 111 when he collided with a disabled vehicle in a travel lane. Faulkner, 24, was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

BERKS COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A 33-year-old male died Friday afternoon after he was struck by a truck along the shoulder of I-78 East, according to an incident report from Pennsylvania State Police. Troopers said the crash occurred around 11:15 a.m. near the Route 501 exit (Exit 13) in Bethel Township. The man, who has not been identified to the public, had parked his blue Volvo tractor-trailer along the right shoulder.

The Patrol says Larson was standing near here disabled vehicle that was partially in the lane of traffic on Highway 22 at 150th Street when a semi struck the vehicle which in turn struck Larson.

A Middlesex County, New Jersey man allegedly fell asleep at the wheel seconds before he fatally crashed his truck into a pedestrian pushing a stalled car along Interstate 78 in Glendon. (FOX40.COM) — A brief driver distraction led to a chain-reaction crash involving two big rigs early Wednesday morning on Interstate 5 northbound just north of the Willows Rest Area, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP said the initial collision occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. when a driver traveling northbound reportedly looked away from the roadway to cough. When the driver refocused on traffic, a big rig was directly ahead, and the driver was unable to avoid crashing into the rear of the truck.

(WZMQ) – On Monday, April 6 at approximately 12:25 PM, Negaunee City Police Department Officers were policing a traffic crash that occurred on US-41 West near Teal Lake, when their parked patrol vehicle, a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe with its emergency lights activated, was struck from behind by a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu that was traveling West on US-41. The driver of that vehicle, a 35-year-old woman from Marquette and her 11-year-old passenger were examined by EMS at the scene and released.

According to police, a Hattiesburg Public School District bus was stopped to pick up students in the 3600 block of Campbell Drive just before 8 a.m., when it was hit by a car. Eight students were crossing the street when the crash took place. No injuries were reported, according to police.
