1 Person Killed in Devastating 3-Car Crash near Higuera Road and Highway 101 San Luis Obispo County, CA
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA (April 1, 2026) – Saturday night, a person died in a devastating 3-car crash near Higuera Road and Highway 101. The incident involving three vehicles happened just before 9:30 p.m. near Higuera Road on the southbound side of Highway 101. CHP said a 2026 Toyota Camry was attempting to turn left from Higuera Ranch onto the highway when it was struck by a northbound 2023 Toyota Highlander at an unknown speed.

PHOENIX – A driver was struck and killed after getting into a collision and running into traffic on US 60 in Mesa on Wednesday morning, authorities said. A Jeep SUV rear-ended a commercial vehicle on eastbound US 60 near Higley Road shortly after 9 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public safety. After the collision, the SUV driver pulled over in front of the commercial vehicle, just west of the Higley Road off-ramp.

NEWPORT, Maine (WGME) – Police say a New Hampshire man was killed in a crash involving a stopped vehicle and a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Newport. Maine State Police say they got reports about a Chevrolet Volt stopped in the travel lane of I-95 in Newport around 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday. While troopers were responding to the scene, the Chevrolet Volt was hit by a tractor-trailer. Troopers say the car driven by 33-year-old Juan Guallpa of Lempster, New Hampshire, had been stopped in the northbound travel lane when it was rear-ended by a Freightliner tractor-trailer.

FORT WORTH, Texas - Police are investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 30 in Fort Worth on Tuesday morning. What we know: The crash happened around 8 a.m. on eastbound I-30 near Cherry Lane. Fort Worth police said the driver of a stalled 18-wheeler was outside his vehicle when another truck sideswiped him. He died at the scene. Images from SKY 4 showed the big rig on the side of the freeway, along with several police vehicles and wreckers.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – A Houston couple says their 24-year-old grandson was “only trying to help” when he was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday. Lawanna and Lorick Jeffery are mourning the loss of Sincere Barrette, who authorities say was hit just after 5 a.m. along the 610 Loop near the Galleria area. According to Houston police, Barrette had been involved in a minor crash while attempting to move onto the freeway shoulder.
