3 killed after driver unsafely passes another car in Lassen County, CHP says
LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. — Three people were killed and one person survived after a multi-vehicle crash along Highway 395 near Waldron Lane in Lassen County Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers say around 5:40 a.m., a 46-year-old woman from Susanville was driving a 2014 Dodge southbound when she unsafely passed another driver without enough clearance for the northbound traffic. Both the 46-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man from Janesville, who was driving a 2022 Toyota northbound, ended up going off the road and onto the east shoulder of Highway 395 to avoid hitting each other.

An El Paso woman has died after a Wednesday afternoon crash in Lubbock County, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release issued Thursday. About 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, officials arrived in the area of US Highway 62/82 and County Road 6300. A preliminary investigation determined that a 2018 Acura RDX had been parked on the eastbound shoulder of the highway. A 2020 Ford F250, which was towing a utility trailer, was driving east on the highway.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A person is dead after being hit by a passing vehicle while changing a flat tire early Tuesday morning in Orange County. According to North Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers, around 4:38 a.m. they responded to a report of a crash that occurred on Interstate 40 near NC Highway 86. Investigators discovered that a vehicle was disabled and partially parked in the eastbound lane of I-40 near NC-86.

Guernsey County, OH — January 27, 2025, Lewis Johnson was killed in a truck accident at about 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 70 near mile marker 178. Authorities said a 2018 Freightliner semi-truck was parked on the right side of the highway when it was hit by a 2025 International box truck. The driver was stepping out of the stopped truck at the time of the crash. Freightliner driver Lewis Johnson, 45, died at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.

Chain-Reaction Crash on I-8 Freeway near Waring Road SAN DIEGO, Calif. The multi-vehicle traffic accident occurred amid rainy, wet road conditions around 8:35 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26th, just east of Waring Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Rainy weather made for wet road conditions Sunday morning, leading to a multi-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 8 near San Diego State University, according to a Sig Alert from California Highway Patrol. The incident was first reported at 8:35 a.m., with CHP officials noting a vehicle went down into a ditch near the Waring Road exit. Shortly after, another vehicle spun out and went off the roadway in the same area.

Shortly after the initial crash, a second semi-truck going westbound in the area crashed into the first semi-truck that had rolled over.

New York City police officials are saying that the accident took place around 5:30 AM on Wednesday. A person was working on a disabled vehicle when a flatbed truck hit them on the roadway. Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident in order to help the victim.

Some people have been identified in a deadly two-vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County yesterday (January 23rd). After getting a call reporting a crash, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was called to Interstate 41 southbound near Winnebago Street in the Town of Freedom. Preliminary investigations show that a southbound vehicle has pulled over on the median side of the interstate. After some people exited the car, a second vehicle then hit the first vehicle, and during the collision, a passenger who was outside of the car was hit and died at the scene.
