Driver Killed After Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Overturned 18-Wheeler in DeSoto Parish
On November 5, 2025, a deadly chain-reaction crash occurred on Interstate 49 near Highway 177 in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana, after an 18-wheeler overturned in heavy fog. According to the Louisiana State Police (LSP), the initial rollover caused a series of subsequent collisions along the interstate. Troopers identified the victim as being from Natchitoches, who was driving a Ford F-350 pickup when he struck a parked tractor-trailer on the roadway. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, a devastating collision on U.S. 87 about ten miles south of Dalhart, Texas, took the lives of four people, including a teenager. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a southbound Nissan Altima traveling at a slow speed due to a flat tire was rear-ended by a semi-truck whose driver “failed to control speed.” The Altima’s driver and three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene; the truck driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

The WSP says an 18-year-old North Bend man was killed in a late-night crash on I-90 Wednesday, about a mile east of the Snoqualmie Pass summit. Troopers say Conner Nugent was heading west around 10:30 p.m. when he lost control of his pickup, rolled, hit a barrier, and came to rest partly in the right lane. Moments later, his truck was hit by a westbound semi driven by 26-year-old Salas Bernardino of Umatilla.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash on I-95 northbound at mile marker 234 early on Nov. 5, 2025. FHP responded to the incident at approximately 1:39 A.M., where an unknown semi tractor-trailer struck a 28-year-old man from Jacksonville, who was attempting to repair his disabled 2011 semi tractor-trailer on the shoulder. The collision occurred when the unknown vehicle, traveling in the outside lane, failed to observe the pedestrian on the shoulder and struck him with its right side.

SAN ANTONIO — One person was struck and killed after they got out of their vehicle that crashed on IH-10 East and attempted to cross the highway. The crash happened around 4:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of IH-10 West near East Houston Street. According to the San Antonio Police Department, a silver Audi sedan was involved in a single car crash on IH-10 East westbound in which the car veered off the roadway and stopped on the left grassy shoulder of the highway.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A stranded driver was struck and killed on Interstate 270 after getting out of their vehicle Thursday morning. The Missouri Department of Transportation said the incident happened on eastbound I-270 near West Florissant Avenue at about 5:40 a.m. Three lanes of the highway were closed as of 6:15 while crews responded to the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a car was stranded on the shoulder of the highway.
